He is a German living by long time in Spain. Naw he is a SAPEC High Advisser His doctoral thesis, submitted in 1965, with the title "About the Geology of the Province of pyrite Southwest of the Iberian Peninsula and its oil fields, especially in the pyrite mine Louzal - Portugal" Systematized the term" Iberian Pyrite Belt ", called for the deposits of iron ore cuprífera, rich in sulfur and other metallic minerals, which occurs between the rivers Sado and Guadalquivir, where they settled several mining complexes, of Louzal, Rio Tinto, through Castro Verde, Santo Domingo and Tharsis. Local mining tradition with an ancient where today seeks to preserve the legacy and memory of mining through measures to enhance equity. The result of work carried out Louzal then formed the basis of geological and documentary collection that has survived and has been proposed for cultural units under the activities of the mining museum Louzal. The richness and importance of this collection, consisting of several hundred documents, geological samples classified, minerals and cartography, comes from its presence Situ"In its state of preservation, that despite the various threats it is still within reach of their preservation, and the relative rarity of such collections, with the units of mining production. This communication aims to reveal the contribution of Mr Strauss for the formation of this collection and submit his proposal for cultural units, with the hope that those responsible for safeguarding them understand the need for its preservation and dissemination. So discuss the scientific and professional way Günter Strauss, a geologic formation of the estate of Mines Louzal, and the draft musealization proposition. This was acknowledged by prominent historians like C R Boxer, M N Pearson, A Disney, J Wicki and others who reviewed the book in international journals of history. The colonial culture and the political climate were not helpful for the promotion of a critical approach. Item Museologia e Inovação Social(01/12/2014) Leite, Pedro PereiraThe article aims to analyze the relationship between social museology and social innovation. From the question of what is the museology should propose to read the major transformations taking place in contemporary societies, we seek to articulate the challenges of building an innovative museology. From the social museology as proposed meeting, we analyze the possibility of building social inclusion, the production of inclusive narratives and creation opportunity emancipatory initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship. Proposta metodológica da museologiaItem Castes, Social Mobility and Politics in Goa(03/10/2012) Souza, Teotónio R. deWhile the colonial policies and the missionary activities dented the caste system by playing upon the caste rivalries to divide and rule, the post-independence Indian democracy transformed the traditional castes into valuable vote-banks that have permitted non-brahmin castes to achieve political leadership in several States, particularly following the politics of reservation recommended by the Mandal Commission in 1980s.Item The Economic and Racial Implications of the Globalization of Knowledge by Catholic Missionaries in Portuguese India, 16th-18th Centuries(03/10/2012) Souza, Teotónio R. deThe European Missionaries benefitted from the native Asian sources and knowledge providers much more than it is honestly acknowledged. Item In the Shadow of Power(Herald, Goa, 09/05/2011) Souza, Teotónio R. dePedro Feytor Pinto headed the Department of Information Services (SEIT) in the government of Marcello Caetano who replaced Antonio Oliveira Salazar in 1968 as the head of the Portuguese government. Feytor Pinto has just released a book entitled Na Sombra do Poder (In the Shadow of Power)[Lisboa, D. Quixote, 2011, pp. 402]. Not wishing to classify it as history or memoirs, yet hoping that historians may find it useful, the author chooses to narrate events as he experienced them from his vantage point in the shadow of Power, during the years ending with the Carnation Revolt of 25 April 1974, which put an end to half a century of dictatorship, known as Estado Novo. Item Goa : Port of Call and Strangers at Home(Herald, 11/04/2011) Souza, Teotónio R. deThe Portuguese were the last batch of strangers who sought to make Goa their homeItem Goa: A history of many liberations(Herald, Goa, 12/07/2011) Souza, Teotónio R. deThe Portuguese will not to be the last in the series of foreigners who sought to make Goa their home. The developments of the past fifty years need to be observed and analysed to understand the trend that will make the so-called «post-liberation» history of Goa. Goa’s history should be more dispassionately viewed as made up of many «liberations», and more may follow.Item Praying Doves and Preying Vultures(HERALD, 12/09/2009) Souza, Teotónio R. deThe most saddening feature in this entire debate is that the Church in Goa, instead of transmitting the image of kingdom of God, of Jesus who emptied himself (kenosis) and was crucified with nothing that he could call his own (“rights”) is increasingly revealing a spiritual bankruptcy. Obviously, the mystical body does not feed on mystical rice and curry. A mere suggestion of State legislation to check the transparency and accountability of the temporal goods of the Church was sufficient to raise the hackles of the rich and the powerful who need the Church, but present themselves as its faithful servants, who can ensure that the more humble sons and daughters of the Church benefit from crumbs of their charity. *Spiritus ubi vult spirat* – the Spirit blows where it wills, and the history of the Church has umpteen illustrations of this. As the saying goes, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions”. Only the kicks of history have brought about most significant reforms.Item Shakuni trumps Pandavas(Goan Observer, 19/11/2016) Souza, Teotónio R. deThe publication of Goa, Daman and Diu mining concessions (Abolition and declaration as mining leases) ACT, 1987, in accordance with Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957, replaced the colonial decree of 20 September 1906 which had legislated about mining concessions in Goa (Gazette of India, 1987). The new legislation permitted the conversion of 700 colonial concessions into leases), and limited the exploration to only 90, which does not correspond to the actual situation, scandalous and destructive of the regional eco-system. It was a very generous legislation in its respect for the colonial rights and obligations, even after a political transition marked by invasion and conquest. Obviously, the Government of India did not want to give the Goans and the world at large an impression that could go counter to the image of liberation.
