Fatores protetores no impacto psicológico da discriminação dirigida a imigrantes : uma revisão sistemática

O objetivo deste estudo é levar a cabo uma revisão sistemática da
literatura sobre os fatores protetores no impacto psicológico da discriminação contra
imigrantes. É pretendido numa primeira fase, recolher literatura, com vista a identificar
fatores protetores no impacto psicológico da discriminação dirigida a imigrantes,
contribuir para identificar as limitações do atual estado da arte e informar as práticas de
prevenção das circunstâncias discriminatórias e de intervenção nas suas consequências.
A amostra deste estudo é constituída por 25 artigos. Os resultados permitiram identificar
fatores protetores que, para uma leitura simplificada se enquadraram nos seguintes
grupos: recursos pessoais, socioculturais e de imigração. Conclui-se que não há
consenso sobre a maior parte dos fatores encontrados, nomeadamente ao nível dos
recursos pessoais e socioculturais, uma vez que não têm o mesmo papel nos diferentes
subgrupos (e.g nacionalidades). Quanto aos fatores de imigração a evidência parece
mais consistente e a literatura mais consensual.
Abstract: The aim of this study is to carry out a systematic review of the literature on protective factors on the psychological impact of discrimination against immigrants. It is intended, in a first phase, to collect literature, with a view to identifying protective factors in the psychological impact of discrimination directed at immigrants, to help identify the limitations of the current state of the art and inform practices for preventing discriminatory circumstances and intervening in its consequences. The sample of this study consists of 25 articles. The results allowed identifying protective factors that, for a simplified reading, fell into the following groups: personal, sociocultural and immigration resources. It is concluded that there is no consensus on most of the factors found, namely in terms of personal and sociocultural resources, since they do not have the same role in the different subgroups (e.g. nationalities). As for immigration factors, the evidence seems more consistent and the literature more consensual.
