É recorrente afirmar-se que o nosso principal problema de afirmação como País reside no facto de não termos uma estratégia nacional, e que tem faltado à
governação do Estado lideres com visão e um sentido de direcção. Mas foi sempre assim? O recuo histórico leva-nos a um período tido como um dos mais
gloriosos da nossa história - o reinado de D. João II, o Príncipe Perfeito, que agiu na estrutura existente ao seu tempo, operando grandes mudanças que
conduziram ao Século de Ouro Nacional.
Este breve ensaio centra-se na análise dos principais factos e realizações históricos ocorridos no seu reinado, através de um modelo estratégico de A.
Beaufre, que imaginou um sistema de estruturação vertical das estratégias do Estado segundo um esquema em pirâmide.Com o recurso a este modelo de
análise procura-se, pois, configurar a existência de uma visão e de um projecto político perfeitamente definido por parte de D. João II, bem como uma
estratégia total concebida para a sua concretização, procurando ainda deduzir a existência de traços do que poderemos chamar um conceito estratégico
nacional.
It is usually said that our main problem of affirmation as a country is that we don’t have a national strategy, and that has been lacking in the governance of the State leaders with vision and a sense of direction. But was it always like this? The historical pullback takes us to a period regarded as one of the most glorious of our history – the reign of King John II, the Perfect Prince, who acted in the existing structure to that time, operating big changes that led to the so-called National Golden Century. This short essay focuses on the analysis of the main historical facts and achievements that have occurred in his reign, through a strategic model of A. Beaufre, who envisioned a system of vertical structuring of State strategies according to a pyramid scheme. With the use of this model of analysis, we can configure the existence of a vision and a political project perfectly defined by King John II, as well as an overall strategy designed to that implementation, looking even deduce the existence of traces of what we might call a national strategic concept.
