Resumo
Com as cidades, cada vez mais consolidadas devido ao aumento populacional, são desenvolvidas estratégias, sociais, económicas e ambientais para o melhoramento da qualidade de vida dos seus habitantes. Assim sendo essas estratégias têm de ser bem planeadas e executadas de modo que o mesmo possa funcionar em coerência com resto da cidade. Porém, há alguns anos tem-se avistado casos de estratégias, que ao envés de melhorar a estrutura da cidade e a qualidade de vida dos habitantes, por vezes acaba por a dificultar, sendo um exemplo a zona de Leça da Palmeira, concelho Matosinhos, na cidade do Porto. No caso de Leça da Palmeira, apesar de ter um grande potencial, certos constrangimentos físicos dificultam o seu desenvolvimento. Desta forma, a presente dissertação centra-se no tema “a Escola de música como edifício revitalizador do parque municipal da Quinta da Conceição”, e que tem como objectivo principal, elaborar uma proposta para o parque municipal da Quinta da Conceição, de forma a integrá-lo ao resto da cidade, através de um edifício catalisador integrado no parque, tornando o mesmo, num espaço sustentável, a nível social, funcional, ambiental e ecológico.
Assim sendo, segue-se com esta dissertação começando por fazer um enquadramento da área, e aprofundando através de uma analise da evolução urbana aquela área. Procure-se depois, perceber melhor sobre a Quinta da Conceição, e o que já tinha sido proposto para aquele espaço, através duma leitura da memoria descritiva do autor dos projetos propostos.
Em seguida, procurou-se identificar certos princípios fundamentais para a sustentabilidade dos espaços verdes, através de uma leitura a dois casos de
estudos.
Desta forma, foi fundamental perceber melhor sobre a área de intervenção, sendo feito um diagnostico no lugar, e identificadas as oportunidades e constrangimentos, seguindo-se depois para a elaboração de uma estratégia e objectivos para o melhoramento do Parque, e por final a elaboração da proposta do mesmo.
As cities get more consolidated, due to de increasing population, social, economical, and environmental strategies are developed o better a quality of life its inhabitants. These strategies have to be well planned and executed for it to work cohesively with de rest of the city. However, in the last couples of years, we have seen certain strategies that instead of improving the structure of the city and the quality of life of its inhabitants, it has hampered it, the area of Leça da Palmeira, in the council of Matosinhos, city of Porto, being one evident example. In the case of Leça da Palmeira, although it has a great potential, certain physical constraints hamper its development. As a result, the present dissertation, focuses in the theme “The Music School as the revitalizing building for the Municipal Park of Quinta da Conceição”, and it has as its main objective, elaborate a proposal for the municipal park of the Quinta da Conceição, in order to integrate it with the rest of the city, through a catalyst building, integrated in the park, turning it in a sustainable, in a social, functional, environmental and ecological level. Moreover, we follow through with this dissertation, starting by doing an area analyses, and deepening it with an urban evolution. Through a brief read of a descriptive memory of the author that created the previous proposals, we try to learn more about Quinta da Conceição and what it was previously proposed for that area. Next it was identified certain fundamental purposes of sustainability of green spaces, through read of two case studies. As a result, in was fundamental to have a better understanding of the intervention area, and so a diagnostic of the area was done, and it was identified the opportunities and constraints, followed by an elaboration of a strategy and objectives to better improve the park, and finally it was elaborated the proposal for the park. After the proposal of the park, the focused was turned to the development of the revitalizing project, by being done an analysis on the proposed house proposed to being transformed into a music school. Next done analysed what it was intended in the rehabilitation of the house, e finally the proposal of the house was elaborated
