A amostra deste estudo foi recolhida de forma aleatória e foi constituída por 173 participantes adultos (130 do género feminino e 43 do género masculino). Para avaliar as relações existentes entre as dimensões mencionadas, foram utilizadas cinco escalas avaliativas – sendo que duas pretendiam avaliar o padrão de vinculação do participante e as restantes três se encontravam relacionadas com a sexualidade – e elaborado um questionário sociodemográfico. Os resultados obtidos apontam para uma relação positiva entre o padrão de Vinculação Seguro e a Compulsão Sexual e a Vergonha Sexual, existindo ainda uma maior predisposição dos sujeitos do género masculino para a Compulsão Sexual. Foi ainda denotado que a atitudes negativas estão associados valores mais elevados de Compulsão Sexual e Vergonha Sexual.The main objective of this research was to study and understand the possible relationship between Attachment and Sexual Compulsion, Sexual Shame and attitudes towards sexuality and the possible links also analyzed between these variables and the demographic data of the participants. The sample was collected randomly and consisted of 173 adult participants (130 female and 43 males). To evaluate the relationship between the mentioned dimensions, there were used five evaluative scales – two of which meant to evaluate the participant's attachment pattern and the remaining three were related to sexuality – and was prepared a socialdemographic questionnaire. The results point to a positive relationship between the secure pattern of attachment and Sexual Compulsion and Sexual Shame, and that there is a greater predisposition of the subjects of the male gender for Sexual Compulsion.
