Este crescimento tem tido repercussões catastróficas na sustentabilidade e qualidade de vida nas cidades, resultando numa crise habitacional. Neste contexto de emergência e de globalização as cidades vão-se transformando em não-lugares, perdendo a sua identidade. Num clima de grande mudança as receitas antigas não alcançam os mesmos resultados, e torna-se necessário atualizar os modelos. Através de uma metodologia de investigação pela prática projetual, a dissertação pretende analisar os vectores de mudança correntes e aplicá-los no desenvolvimento de uma conversão em Co-housing de um espaço de memória esquecido, a antiga Fábrica Tabaqueira no Braço de Prata. Pretende-se no desenvolvimento do projeto apresentar uma alternativa de habitação que valoriza a qualidade de vida , acrescenta ao espaço urbano e preserva a memória aplicando conceitos teóricos atuais. In a climate of great change, old recipes do not achieve the same results, and it becomes necessary to update the models. Through a research methodology through design practice, the dissertation intends to analyze the current vectors of change and apply them in the development of a conversion into Co-housing of a forgotten memory space, the old Fábrica Tabaqueira in Braço de Prata.
