Aqui procura-se fazer um estudo sistemático do assunto, recorrendo-se aos grandes especialistas no corpus flaviano, embora não procure compor propriamente uma pesquisa inovadora e contributiva para esses estudos, daí não ser muito abrangente a bibliografia consultada. O objetivo da investigação é modesto: introduzir, organizar e sistematizar o assunto, bem como fornecer uma chave hermenêutica para se ler Josefo evitando as armadilhas de sua retórica e de seus preconceitos.In this article we seek to discuss the value of Flavius Josephus as a valid source for the history of Second Temple Judaism, and even for studies of the Historical Jesus, since even though the testimonium flavianumis not accepted by the foremostscholars, much remains to be analyzed and compared to what the gospels say. Try to carry out a systematic study of the subject, making use of the great specialists in the Flavian corpus, although I do not exactly seek to compose innovative and contributory research for these studies, which is why the bibliography consulted is not very comprehensive.
