In this paper, a cognitive-behavorial programme is presented for reducing anxiety and depression levels in group of women (n=9) with ages ranging between 50 and 61 years. This programme was carried out in the C.I.S. of Arganzuela (Madrid City Hall). The programme included 15 sessions structured in three phases: pre-treatment assessment, treatment, and post-treatment assessment. During pre and post- treatment phases the following assessment instruments were administared: The Inventory of Situations and Responses of Anxiety - ISRA- (Miguel-Tobal & Cano Vindel, 1986, 1988, 1994), the beck Depression Inventory -BDI- (Beck, ward, Mendelson, Mock & Erbaugh, 1961; Beck, Rush, Shaw y Emery, 1979), and the Inventory of Solving and Coping with Problems (Miguel Tobal & Casado, 1992). Treatment phase focused on the application of several cognitive-behavioral techniques for controlling the above mentioned variables. Results showed signifcante decreases in both anxiety and depression levels and an increase in psychological well-being.application/pdfspaopenAccessPSICOLOGIAINTERVENÇÃO PSICOLÓGICAANSIEDADEDEPRESSÃOMENOPAUSAEMOÇÕESPSYCHOLOGYPSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONANXIETYDEPRESSIONMENOPAUSEEMOTIONSIntervención psicológica en mujeres menopáusicas : implantación de un programa para la reducción de la ansiedad y depresiónarticle
