A LINHA AUGUSTA será a grande mestre na organização socioespacial da Rua Augusta ligando os pilares da Sabedoria e Devoção, Cais das Colunas, palco de grandes acontecimentos, e as Portas de Santo Antão passando pelo coração da Baixa Pombalina, o Rossio. As formas de desenvolvimento de uma cidade constrõem um tema complexo, a expressão temporal e espacial que o compõe possui grande influência no quotidiano do Homem e é com este que percebemos e também revelam-se inúmeras interações que formam e desenham o tecido urbano. No desenvolvimento do projeto revelar-se-a o contexto da cidade e do seu desenvolvimento ao longo do tempo, tendo como matriz os eixos históricos de expansão e revitalização urbana da cidade. Exploraremos qual a forma que estes eixos tornam-se protagonistas na preservação de uma memória histórica e são detentores na orientação dos novos espaços públicos e também das narrativas urbanas. A partir de uma extensa base bibliográfica e um trabalho de campo com fundamento na observação do espaço, pretende-se dar a conhecer a linha de ligação do Rio Tejo com a espinha da Baixa Pombalina, caracterizando e interpretando as suas possibilidades dentro da real estrutura arquitetônica da Rua Augusta até as Portas de Santo Antão. Este estudo tem como característica apresentar metodologias de intervenção que possibilitará o passo da água na contrução de um futuro eixo que será o elemento regente poético e também de ligação destes espaços, agora caracterizados pelo acúmulo de elementos urbanos e comerciais que dificultam o trânsito, o lazer, o passo e também a vida dos poucos que ali habitam. A Cidade é um conjunto de memórias individuais e coletivas, que geram identidades através das quais os seus moradores criam afeto, conexão inter-pessoal e ligação próxima com os pares. O tema do trabalho visa proporcionar esta ligação entre os indivíduos com o tecido urbano, entre a água com a cidade, propondo um olhar, através desta ligação, ao elemento mestre que possibilitou o desenvolvimento, a projeção e a cultura da Cidade de Lisboa.The element that historically provided great discoveries, the development of cultures that was also key in the communication between nations, societies and markets, again rediscovers Lisbon. LINHA AUGUSTA will be the great master in the socio-spatial organization of Rua Augusta linking the pillars of Wisdom and Devotion, Cais das Colunas, stage of great events, and the Portas de Santo Antão passing through the heart of Lower Pombalina, Rossio. Development shapes of a city construct a complex theme, the temporal and spatial expression that composes it has great influence in the daily life of Man and it’s with it that we perceive and also reveal uncountable interactions that creates and design an urban fabric. In the development of this project the context of the city will show up and its development over time as well, based on the historical axes of expansion and urban revitalization of the city. We will explore how these axes become protagonists in the preservation of a historical memory and how they became holders in the orientation of new public spaces and also of urban narratives. From an extensive bibliographical base and a fieldwork based on observating the space, we intend to make known the connecting line of the Tagus River with the spine of Lower Pombalina, creating meanings and interpreting its possibilities within the real architectural structure from Rua Augusta to the Portas de Santo Antão. This study has as characteristic to present intervention methodologies that will allow the passage of water in the construction of a future axis that will be the poetic regent element and also a connection between these spaces (now characterized by the accumulation of urban and commercial elements that hinder traffic, leisure, walking and also the life of the few that live there. The City is a set of individual and collective memories that generate identities through which its residents create affection, interpersonal connection and close connection with the peers.
