Still, planners' perspectives on this approach have long been metropolitan and cities centered. This paper aims to surpass territorial hierarchies by considering the specific case of small towns. We apply an ecosystembased approach to rethink spatial planning practice at the scale of Rives-en-Seine, a small northwestern town in France. An interactive and multidisciplinary workshop methodology was used.
