Apesar do reconhecimento das consequências negativas da deportação, ainda não se identifica uma especial atenção ao estudo dos deportados, nomeadamente ao nível do seu ajustamento psicológico e de reintegração social. Método: A metodologia utilizada foi a revisão sistemática, seguindo as guidelines do PRISMA. A pesquisa foi realizada em 6 bases de dados eletrónicas e o processo de recolha de dados ocorreu em 5 etapas, por dois investigadores independentes. Objetivo: Elaborar uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre o impacto da deportação no ajustamento psicológico e reintegração social dos sujeitos deportados, no sentido de chamar atenção por parte da comunidade científica e da sociedade em geral para o fenómeno e sensibilizar para a necessidade de desenvolver medidas que promovam o ajustamento e reintegração destes sujeitos. Resultados: Foram incluídas 6 publicações na presente revisão sistemática, 2 estudos quantitativos e 4 qualitativos. Os estudos apontam que ser deportado é motivo para ser discriminado, vitimizado e estigmatizado, mostram como os deportados enfrentam desafios a nível da sua saúde mental, sublinhando a necessidade da intervenção. Conclusões: Verificou-se que existe ainda uma escassez de estudos que foquem especificamente o impacto da deportação no ajustamento psicológico e reintegração social dos sujeitos deportados, o que revela a invisibilidade do fenómeno, quer em termos sociais como por parte da comunidade científica. No entanto, existe um consenso sobre o facto de a experiência de deportação poder comprometer a saúde mental dos deportados, sendo que, perturbações psicológicas como a ansiedade, o stress pós-traumático e a depressão foram observados mais frequentemente pelos participantes dos vários estudos. Despite the recognition of the negative consequences of deportation, special attention has yet to be identified in the study of deportees, namely in terms of their psychological adjustment and social reintegration. The studies show that being deported is a reason to be discriminated against, victimized and stigmatized, and that deportees face challenges in terms of their mental health, underlining the need for intervention. Conclusion: It was found that there is still a lack of studies that specifically focus on the impact of deportation on the psychological adjustment and social reintegration of the deported, which reveals the invisibility of the phenomenon, both in social terms and on the part of the scientific community. However, there is a consense that the deportation experience may compromise the mental health of the deportees, with psychological disorders such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress and depression being observed more frequently by the participants in the various studies.
