Numa reflexão preliminar levantam-se enquadramentos e dificuldades deste contexto relacional na cultura e língua portuguesa, sobretudo a partir da sua tradição espiritual e cristã. Numa segunda parte, alargando-se o estudo ao diálogo ecuménico, chama-se a atenção para o âmbito espiritual do encontro. Tendo em conta as principais características do dharma budista, salienta-se a iluminação nirvânica e respectiva tipologia mística. Comparase, depois, com o traço encarnacional e de sofrimento do caminho cristão revisto na kénosis de Cristo, interrogando-se convergência com o despojamento budista. Conclui-se pela necessidade de superar a linguagem do religioso em ordem a uma iluminativa consciência trans-linguística.The purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between marga (“way”) of Buddhist dharma and via crucis or kenosis within Christian path. In a preliminary reflection we point out settlements and difficulties of that relation in the context of Portuguese culture and language, mainly under Christian spiritual tradition. Secondly, we enlarge the study to the field of ecumenical dialogue and we remark the spiritual nature of that encounter. Considering the main characteristics of Buddhist dharma, we point out nirvanic illumination and its mystical type. At last, we compare it with incarnate mark and suffering as Christian way. We question the convergence between Christ’s kenosis and Buddhist ‘emptiness’.
