Abordaram-se temas tais como as políticas de integração, a habitação, o emprego, a saúde e a educação dos imigrantes. Após análise de todos os factos, constatou-se que a realidade quotidiana dos imigrantes é diferente da esperada com base nas leis existentes. As Políticas de Imigração em Portugal, nos últimos anos, são de uma grande ambição e bastante encorajadoras, porém quem vem à procura de uma vida digna e humana encontra outra realidade. Constatou-se, no presente trabalho, que as políticas não correspondem às expectativas dos Imigrantes.In order not to make the topic too complex, this thesis is restricted to the integration of immigrants in Portugal and if this integration meets the expectations of those who left their home country in search of a better life. It approaches issues such as integration policies, housing, employment, health and education of immigrants. After reviewing all the facts, it appears that the daily reality of immigrants differs from expected, based on existing laws. The Politics of Immigration in Portugal in recent years are of great ambition and quite encouraging. However, who comes looking for a dignified human life finds another reality.
