O arquitecto idealiza, cria projectos com a sua criatividade e talento sempre com o intuito de uma solução coerente para o programa do seu cliente. Desde o estudo inicial até ao finalizar do projecto de arquitectura tem que haver uma consciência e coerência entre todas as suas especialidades. Este processo de desenvolvimento tem que ser investigado no seu todo de modo a compreender o seu funcionalismo final. Os projectos de especialidades são fundamentais para um bom desenvolvimento de um projecto. A compatibilização das várias especialidades são essenciais para um bom desenvolvimento do projecto e consequente redução de custos. A interligação é fundamental entre os projectistas das várias especialidades e o arquitecto. Neste trabalho são apresentadas as várias fases de desenvolvimento do projecto com as suas especialidades e as directrizes da ligação da Engenharia com a Arquitectura, em foco com a especialidade de hidráulica, rede de drenagem e abastecimento de águas. É de referir que um projecto de Arquitectura é da responsabilidade do seu autor, desde o seu início até ao fim da obra, sendo também responsável pelas especialidades, não estando muitos arquitectos conscientes das suas responsabilidades.The development of this master´s thesis work is supported by the interconnection between the architectural project work and its engineering branches. The architect envisions and creates his own projects, expressing his creative design skills always bearing in mind the best solution in accordance with the customer's request. Since the initial study up to the final architectural project, the coherence and selfconscience must alway be the action keylines. This development process needs a hard and previous research work in order to understand the reason why he has chosen a certain approach. In this whole process I consider that the other speciality projects are vital and play an important contribution to an accurate development of a project. I strongly believe that to develop a good project and to reduce costs and burdens, it is essential to combine and match different specialities resources. Therefore I consider that it is very important to establish a close workrelationship between the designers work and the architect in order to achieve a perfect architectural final work. The aim of this thesis is to identify and report the procedural development project stages which must have the contribution of all the architectural specialities, as well as the importance of a close connection between Engineering and Architecture with the help of the following specialisation areas: hydraulics; sewage network and water supply. Lastly, I would like to refer that an architectural project shall be the author's full responsability since its formulation until its implementation.
