Faro fez parte da segunda missão capucha na diocese de Cabo Verde, esta missão, a nível de fontes para o estudo do quotidiano missionário, é muito rica, graças a relação de frei André de Faro sobre as missões da Guiné, nos anos de 1663 e 1664. Inserido no âmbito das literaturas de viagem, o relato do capucho português, constitui uma importante fonte no que toca à história da missionação dos capuchos portugueses na Costa Ocidental africana no século XVII. Dos muitos franciscanos da província da Piedade que trabalharam na diocese de Cabo Verde, apenas cinco missionaram na Guiné, daí a importância deste relato missionário.This article aims to analyze on the missionary journey of the Portuguese hood André de Faro at the Rivers of Guinea. Faro hood was part of the second mission in the Diocese of cape Verde, this mission, the level of sources for the study of everyday missionary, is very rich, thanks to the relationship of Father André de Faro on the missions of Guinea, in the years 1663 and 1664.
