Entre as afecções destacam-se gastrite, gastroenterite, torção gástrica, pancreatite e a presença de corpos estranhos, cujas sintomatologias, muitas vezes sobrepostas, podem dificultar um diagnóstico preciso. A abordagem diagnóstica, que envolve exames clínicos, laboratoriais e de imagem, desempenha um papel crucial na identificação e terapia direcionada para a doença/órgão afetado, demandando tratamentos variados, desde suporte hídrico e nutricional até antibioticoterapia, ou mesmo a não intervenção em condições autolimitantes. A presente tese propõe vincular casos clínicos a revisões bibliográficas para aprimorar o entendimento e diagnóstico destas afecções, buscando contribuir para abordagens terapêuticas mais eficazesThe gastrointestinal system involves the tract that extends from the mouth to the rectum, including salivary glands, pancreas and liveris susceptible to several common pathologies in veterinary medicine. Among these conditions, gastritis, gastroenteritis, gastric volvulus, and the presence of foreign bodies are frequently encountered, with symptoms that often overlap, posing challenges for an accurate diagnosis. The diagnostic approach, which involves clinical examination, laboratory and imaging tests, plays a crucial role in the identification and targeted therapy for the disease/affected organ, requiring varied treatments, from fluid therapy and nutritional support to antibiotic therapy, or even non-intervention in self-limiting conditions.
