E como objetivos específicos; qual opinião dos pesquisados sobre a importância deste profissional nas academias; verificar qual a qualificação dos gestores das academias; quantificar o número de academias e de clientes nas academias do estudo. O estudo foi do tipo exploratório e descritivo e teve como população o universo dos gestores. Resultados: 34% atuam como gestor até 2 anos; 34% são gestores de 03 a 05 anos. 36% entre 11 e 15 anos. Das academias 25% possuem até 50 alunos e 25% de 151 alunos a 200 alunos. O Fisioterapeuta deverá participar de um processo gerencial das academias possuindo a figura de protagonista também uma vez que seu trabalho é muito importante tanto para prevenção quanto na reabilitação.The objective of this study was to analyze the participation of the physiotherapist in the management process of the academies. And as specific objectives verify how the management of the academies registered in the Regional Council of Physical Education - CREF 18; check the qualification of the managers of the academies; to quantify the number of academies and clients in the study academies. The study was of the exploratory and descriptive type and had as population the universe of the managers. Results: 34% act as manager until 2 years; 34% are managers from 03 to 05 years. 36% between 11 and 15 years. Of the academies 25% have up to 50 students and 25% of 151 students to 200 students.
