Daí que o estudo das práticas de gestão se aponte como extremamente pertinente, como forma de aferir a eficiência destas organizações, bem como de medir a sua performance no normal desenrolar das suas atividades. No terceiro sector, existe uma diversidade de organizações considerável a operar. O foco do estudo será nas associações mutualistas portuguesas, que estão normalmente associadas às atividades financeiras, de saúde e bem-estar e de ação social. Procurar-se-á identificar os aspetos que afetam as práticas de gestão nas mesmas, para que seja possível reconhecer os fatores que contribuem para que estas se diferenciem e se tornem mais eficientes e sustentáveis.In the management of third sector organizations becomes even more important in the current socio-economic context.
