A ansiedade e a ansiedade social como determinantes da partilha social das emoções em jovens adultos

Esperava-se que maiores níveis de ansiedade estivessem associados a mais partilha mas que mais ansiedade social se associasse a menos partilha da emoção. Participaram 200 sujeitos numa amostra de conveniência: 126 do sexo feminino (63%) e 74 do sexo masculino (37%), com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 30, com uma média de 23,42 (DP=3,27). Os instrumentos utilizados foram: State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, (STAI), uma Medida de Avaliação da Partilha Social das Emoções e Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS). Esta investigação permitiu confirmar que maiores níveis de ansiedade de estado se associam a mas partilha social das emoções, uma vez que se tratam ambos de processos automáticos. O facto de sujeitos terem maiores níveis de ansiedade de traço e mais ansiedade social não influenciou a partilha das emoções. Desta forma as hipóteses apenas se confirmaram parcialmente.This research aims to study the relationship between Social Sharing of Emotions, Anxiety and Social Anxiety in young adults. It was expected that higher levels of anxiety were associated to higher levels of sharing also higher levels of social anxiety was associated to less emotional sharing. 200 subjects participated on a convenient sample: 126 female (63%) and 74 males (37%), aged 18 to 30 with an average of 23.42 (SD = 3.27).
