Divide-se essencialmente em duas secções principais. Uma componente descritiva que engloba, um enquadramento neuroanatómico detalhado, necessário à compreensão do tema, uma breve menção às principais doenças que originam paraplegias de grau 0, bem como a avaliação, o maneio e a reabilitação deste tipo de doente, e um estudo, ao qual 29 doentes paraplégicos sem nocicepção foram sujeitos a um protocolo de reabilitação, em que através da definição e cruzamento de variáveis categóricas e sua posterior análise estatística conclui-se a efetividade da reabilitação na recuperação/evolução neurológica e na independência dos doentes.This masters dissertation refers to the thematic of physical medicine and veterinary rehabilitation, specifically addressing to the functional rehabilitation of paraplegic patients in grade 0, according to the Frankel´s modified scale. It is divided essentially into two main sections.
