Sendo assim um elemento chave no SNS, quer colabore direta ou indiretamente neste. As competências académicas certificadas pela Ordem dos Farmacêuticos e a respetiva formação pós-graduada contínua e obrigatória tornam o farmacêutico numa peça central no acesso à tecnologia do medicamento em funções muito diversificadas. A comunicação verbal e/ou não verbal do farmacêutico com múltiplos colaboradores da organização do SNS (por exemplo: médico ou enfermeiro) é fundamental, pois este participa quer a montante do circuito do medicamento (por exemplo exercendo atividade profissional na indústria farmacêutica ou no INFARMED), quer a jusante do circuito de acesso ao medicamento. Este providencia e monitoriza diariamente o fármaco como farmacêutico comunitário ou hospitalar em cooperação regular com os restantes profissionais de saúde, sempre em prol dos ganhos obtidos em saúde do doente que padece de uma determinada patologia. Tentaremos por isso refletir na questão: “Qual o contributo dos farmacêuticos na redução dos erros de medicação e como pode a comunicação com o médico melhorar essa prática?”The pharmacist is, by definition, the drug specialist. The academic competences certified by the Ordem dos Farmacêuticos and the respective continuous and compulsory post-graduate training make the pharmacist a central part in the access to drug technology in very diverse functions. The verbal and/or non-verbal communication of the pharmacist with multiple collaborators of the NHS organization (for example: doctor or nurse) is essential, as he participates both upstream of the drug circuit (for example, exercising professional activity in the pharmaceutical industry or INFARMED), or downstream of the drug access circuit. This provides and monitors the drug daily as a community or hospital pharmacist in regular cooperation with other health professionals, always in favor of the gains obtained in the health of the patient who suffers from a certain pathology.
