    The irruption of Podemos in the Spanish national political scene has awakened great interest inside and outside the country. The aim of this article is to reflect on the birth of Podemos from a multiple and multidisciplinary perspective. The text relates its genesis and its first steps; it discusses its internal organization and the supposed direct democracy; it analyzes its way of communicating, the use of traditional and digital media. Finally, there are a series of brief reflections on the “Podemos” phenomenon.
