Tatuagem e religião : a tatuagem como expressão de fé entre os cristãos coptas

Abstract

Este artigo procura fazer uma análise sobre a prática da tatuagem, buscando um contexto sob a perspectiva cristã. Para isso foi estabelecido um breve panorama histórico sobre a tatuagem e sua aplicabilidade. Seguimos analisando a tatuagem no contexto histórico dos cristãos coptas e observando a cultura local, para uma compreensão clara de seu uso inerente à confissão de fé. Após este tópico é lançada mão sobre a passagem bíblica do livro de Levítico 19:28, para uma breve análise do texto que por vezes surge como principal argumentação opositora à prática.

This article seeks to make a review on the practice of tattooing, seeking a context under the christian perspective. For this was established a brief historical overview on the tattoo and their applicability. We are analyzing the tattoo in the historical context of coptic christians and observing the local culture, for a clear understanding of its use inherent in the confession of faith. After this topic is launched hand on the biblical passage from the book of Leviticus 19:28, for a brief review of the text that sometimes appears to be the main argument opposing the practice.
