Resumo
A presente dissertação centra-se na figura do arrumador de automóveis enquanto indivíduo dependente de uma substância (álcool ou droga) e no modo como este sobrevive. Tem como objetivo principal aprofundar o conhecimento sobre estes indivíduos que vivem em situação de exclusão social e marginalidade. Para tal, analisou-se o percurso de vida dos entrevistados (n= 30) tentando compreender quais as necessidades sentidas, quais as estratégias de adaptação às diversas situações e ruturas que vivenciaram. É ainda pretendido estruturar o tipo de medidas políticas existentes em Portugal. Por fim, identifica-se um conjunto de fatores de vulnerabilidade/risco que permitam à Psicologia e, em particular, à Psicologia Forense e da Exclusão Social atuar e intervir.
This dissertation focuses on the subject of car arrangers as individuals dependent on a substance (alcohol or drugs) and the way they survive. The main objective is to gain knowledge about these individuals that live in a situation of social exclusion and marginality. For such, the life course of the interviewees was analyzed (n= 30) with the attempt to comprehend what needs were felt, what were the strategies for adapting to the numerous situations and the breaking points that were experienced. Another aim is to structure the existing political measures in Portugal. Finally, a collection of vulnerability/risk factors is identified that enable Psychology and, in particular, Forensic and Social Exclusion Psychology to act and intervene.
