Resumo
O messianismo tem sido estudado no Brasil a partir da variável econômica sem considerar as fontes literárias e religiosas. À semelhança de Maria Isaura Pereira de Queiroz, Rui Facó explica as origens dos movimentos messiânicos brasileiros considerando apenas a variável econômica e as condições sociais dos seus adeptos. Esta pesquisa partiu da premissa de que a variável econômica, embora relevante por si só, não seja suficiente para explicar a complexidade desses movimentos que têm suas raízes na alma religiosa e mítica, e na literatura do povo português e brasileiro. A partir dessas contribuições, esta pesquisa analisou as fontes dos messianismos na literatura lusobrasileira e traçou a sua árvore genealógica, mormente, no Brasil. a pesquisa sugere que grande parte das fontes dos messianismos encontra-se na literatura religiosa luso-brasileira! A estrutura complexa do messianismo amplia o espaço caudal de fontes onde se devem buscar suas origens. No Brasil e em Portugal, o manancial de fontes messiânicas é igualmente imenso: o Judaísmo antigo, no Velho Testamento; o Cristianismo Primitivo, no Novo testamento; o Mito indígena, na terra sem Males; o Catolicismo ultramontano; as contribuições de Joaquim de Fiore e de Gonçaloanes, o Bandarra; o Sebastianismo; o sonho escatológico do Padre Antônio Vieira;o catolicismo popular da Missão abreviada; a obra piedosa do Padre Ibiapina; etc.
The messianism in brazil has been studied from the economic variable without considering the literary and religious sources. Like maria Isaura Pereira de Quiroz, Rui Facó explains the origins of brazilian messianic movements considering only economic variable and the social conditions of their supporters. This research started from the premise that, although important in itself, economic variable is not sufficient to explain the complexity of these movements have their roots in the religious and mythic soul and literature of Portuguese and brazilian people. From these contributions, this research analyzed the sources of messianism in brazilian Portuguese literature, and traced their genealogy especially in brazil. This research suggests that most sources of messianism are in brazilian Portuguese religious literature. The complex structure of messianism extends the space flow sources where we must seek its origin. In brazil and Portugal in the spring of messianic sources is also immense. These sources are: the Ancient Judaism; the old Testament; the Primitive christianity, the the New Testament; the Indigenous myth , no evils on Earth; the ultramontane in catholicism; the contributions of Joachim of Fiore and Gonçalo Anes, the bandarra; sebastianism in the eschatological dream of Father Antonio Vieira; the popular catholicism of mission brief; the pious work of Father Ibiapina; etc
