Resumo
Esta pesquisa empírica, teoricamente orientada, sobressaiu da importância da lógica e da coerência, princípios epistémicos que deram consistência a este processo de investigação.
Nesta perspetiva, este trabalho centrou-se no estudo do correio, transporte aéreo e segurança, tendo por objetivo investigar e compreender, até que ponto, a rapidez exigida pela
necessidade de comunicação e pela liberalização fragilizou os controlos de segurança do
correio e carga aérea, tornando mais vulnerável a segurança do transporte aéreo.
Foram realizadas oito entrevistas a um conjunto de especialistas em segurança da
aviação civil e de correios, colocando «à prova» toda a discussão teórica e empírica sobre esta
temática, procedendo-se de imediato à análise de conteúdo das respostas dadas, conforme o
objetivo proposto. Contemplou-se, especialmente, a frequência das respostas similares e as suas características, transpondo-as para o texto como forma de completar, complementar e
consolidar as ideias posteriormente formuladas.
Constatou-se que a velocidade imprimida ao transporte aéreo obrigou ao
redimensionamento dos meios humanos e técnicos afetos aos controlos de segurança e que a
rapidez, em vez de prejudicar a segurança da aviação civil, veio sim, beneficiá-la e reforçá-la ainda mais.
This empirical research, theoretically oriented, appreciated the importance of logic and coherency, epistemic principles that gave consistency to this process of investigation. In this perspective, this work was based on the post, air transport and security study, aiming to investigate and understand whether the speed demanded by the need for rapid communication and liberalization weakened the security controls for cargo and mail, making more vulnerable to air transport safety. Eight interviews were held to a set of experts in civil aviation security and post office, putting «proof» all the theoretical and empirical research on this topic, proceeding immediately to a content analysis of the answers according to the proposed objective. The frequency of similar responses and their characteristics were specially contempled, transposing them to the text as a way to supplement, complement and consolidate the ideas formulated later. It was found that the print speed to air transport forced the resizing of human and technical resources assigned to security controls, and that the speed, rather than jeopardize the safety of civil aviation, it benefited them and strengthened it further more.
