Projeto Banco de Arte Europeia: uma intervenção pictórica no espaço escolar com uma turma do 8.º ano

Resumo
Esta investigação tem como temática o enriquecimento da cultura visual no domínio
da história da arte europeia, através de uma intervenção pictórica no espaço escolar. Esta
experiência pedagógica, realizada na disciplina de Educação Visual e com uma turma do 8º
ano de escolaridade, realizou-se no contexto da prática supervisionada, no âmbito do
mestrado de ensino em artes visuais da ULHT, durante o ano letivo 2017/2018, no
Agrupamento de Castro Marim.
Trabalhando num contexto geográfico periférico, com um grupo de adolescentes
entre os 13 e 17 anos de idade, de marcada diversidade cultural, procurou-se promover o
conhecimento de obras de arte da tradição ocidental, com as quais não estavam
familiarizados.
Para o projeto, que consistiu na pintura dos bancos do recreio, foram empregues
frações da metodologia de trabalho por projeto, de forma a desenvolver nos alunos a
capacidade de pensar criticamente e de resolver problemas, com a convicção de que esta
aprendizagem ultrapassa o âmbito desta disciplina, para desenvolver a personalidade de
cada um. Neste processo foram ainda abordadas duas unidades temáticas importantes: a
cor e a imagem, visando desenvolver competências na área da pintura e da cultura visual.
Metodologicamente, esta dissertação decorre de uma investigação-ação.
The theme of this investigation is the enrichment of the visual culture, in the realm of the european art history, by means of an pictoric intervention in the school environment. This teaching experiment, conducted in the Visual Education discipline, with a 8th grade class, was conducted in the context of the supervisioned practice, in the scope of the master’s degree in Teaching of Visual Arts in the ULHT, during the scolar year of 2017/2018, at the Agrupamento de Escolas de Castro Marim. Working on a peripheral geographic context, with a group of teenagers between 13 and 17 years old, of a clear cultural diversity, this action research was directed to an increase of knowledge the western art tradition, witch where not familiar to them. To the project, which consisted in the painting of the school playground benches, some fractions of the work methodology were used, in order to develop in the students the capacity of the critical thinking and problem solving, convicted that this learning experience exceeds the scope of this discipline, to develop the personality of each one of the students. In this process two important thematic units were also approached: color and image, aiming to develop skills in painting and visual culture areas. Methodologically, this dissertation stems from an action research process.
