O presente artigo pretende analisar as relações entre o discurso político e o poder, aqui entendido como carismático e hegemónico, de modo a compreender as
linhas estratégicas de construção do poder do Primeiro-Ministro e do Presidente da
República.
Iremos analisar o poder weberiano (carismático) e gramsciano (hegemónico)
para perceber como se evidencia (nestas dimensões) a construção discursiva dos
protagonistas políticos e caracterizar as lideranças do Presidente da República e do
Primeiro-Ministro.
A metodologia Análise Critica do Discurso (ACD) investiga como é constituída
a diferenciação das lideranças no discurso político (Wodak, 2009).
O nosso corpora são quatro discursos de tomada de posse referentes ao
Presidente da República de Portugal, Mário Soares e ao Primeiro-Ministro de Portugal,
Aníbal Cavaco Silva, no período de coabitação (1986-1996) onde se pretende fazer
ressaltar elementos que caracterizem as diferentes formas de liderança com vista à sua
comparação quanto à estratégia discursividade e à sua contextualização
This article intents to analyze the relations between political discourse and power, here assumed as charismatic and hegemonic, aiming to understand the strategical points of construtions of the power of the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic in Portugal. Our analysis will concern Weberian (charismatic) and Gramsci (hegemonic) power so those dimensions could be outlined, as well as the discursive construction of the political actors characterizing the President of Republic and the Prime Minister leadership. The methodology of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) analyses how the different leaders in political discourse are consisted (Wodak, 2009). Our corpora are four discourses of nomination referring to the president Mario Soares and the Prime Minister, Cavaco Silva, in there coexistence period (1986-1996) aim to underline the characteristics of the different ways of leadership comparing strategies and its contextualization
