Resumo
O presente trabalho pretende, como finalidade, aferir os conhecimentos da comunidade surda sobre a terminologia na área da política.
A autora desta Dissertação, devido ao seu trabalho semanal, de há treze anos até à presente data, como Intérprete de Língua Gestual Portuguesa (LGP) na Assembleia da República da Televisão (ARTV) Canal Parlamento, bem como nos Serviços Noticiosos da SIC, Jornal da Noite e SIC Noticias, sentiu necessidade de perceber através da tradução de conceitos para LGP utilizados na Comunidade Surda se a mesma conhece nos tempos modernos novos conceitos que surgem diariamente na área da política.
Daí, o objetivo desta investigação sobre a importância da LGP no conhecimento termos sociopolíticos, ligados a terminologia utilizada pelos vários quadrantes políticos através da ARTV Canal Parlamento e nos serviços noticiosos do Jornal da Noite na SIC e SIC Notícias.
Este estudo desenvolveu-se pela metodologia de inquérito, sendo o público alvo a comunidade surda.
The purpose of this paper is to assess the deaf community's knowledge of policy terminology.. The author of this Dissertation, due to her weekly work, thirteen years ago to date, as Portuguese Sign Language Interpreter (LGP) at the Parliament of the Republic of Television (ARTV) Canal Parliament as well as at SIC News Services, Jornal da Noite and SIC Noticias, felt the need to understand through the translation of concepts for LGP used in the Deaf Community if it knows in modern times new concepts that arise daily in the area of politics. Hence, the purpose of this research on the importance of LGP in the knowledge of socio-political terms, linked to the terminology used by the various political quarters through ARTV Canal Parliament and the news services of the Jornal da Noite in SIC and SIC Noticias This study was developed by the survey methodology, and the target audience was the deaf community.
