Agressividade e traços psicopáticos em jovens em idade escolar

É cada vez mais importante a abordagem da agressividade em jovens. A presente
investigação tem como objectivo o estudo da agressividade e de traços associados à
psicopatia em adolescentes, com idades compreendidas entre 14 e 20 anos, em ambiente
escolar.
A amostra é constituída por 141 estudantes do ensino básico e secundário,
nomeadamente 70 do sexo feminino (49,6%) e 71 do sexo masculino (50,4%), com
idades compreendidas entre 14 e 20 anos (M = 16,75; DP = 1,348; Amplitude = 14-20
anos), entre o 9.º e o 12.º ano, que frequentam uma escola das Caldas da Rainha. Foram
aplicados instrumentos para a medição da agressividade e de traços psicopáticos,
nomeadamente a versão portuguesa de Buss – Perry Aggression Questionnaire - Short
Form (BPAQ-SF) (Pechorro, et al., 2015), para a avaliação da agressividade, e a versão
portuguesa de Youth Psychopathic Traits Inventory (YPI) (Pechorro, et al., 2015), para a
medição de características associadas à psicopatia.
Os resultados obtidos revelam uma associação positiva entre a agressão física e as
características associadas à psicopatia. Os jovens do sexo masculino apresentam
maiores níveis de agressividade e características associadas à psicopatia que jovens do
sexo feminino. Verifica-se também que jovens com retenções, com registos de
ocorrência, que já consumiram algum tipo de substâncias, ou que tenham tido algum
contacto com a justiça têm maiores níveis de agressividade e características
psicopáticas.
Is increasingly important to approach the aggressiveness in young people. This research aims to study the aggressiveness and psychopathy-related traits in adolescents aged between 14 and 20 years, in school environment. The sample consists of 141 students in school education, including 70 female (49.6%) and 71 male (50.4%), aged between 14 and 20 years (M = 16.75; DP = 1.348; Magnitude = 14-20 years), between the 9th and the 12th year, attending a school of Caldas da Rainha. Have been applied to the measurement instruments of aggression and psychopathic traits, in particular the Portuguese version of Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire-Short Form (SF-BPAQ) (Pechorro, et al., 2015), to the assessment of the aggression, and the Portuguese version of Youth Psychopathic Traits Inventory (YPI) (Pechorro, et al., 2015), to the measurement of psychopathy-related traits. The results obtained show a positive association between the physical and the characteristics associated with psychopathy. The young males offers higher levels of aggressiveness and characteristics associated with psychopathy that young female. Also observed that young people with deductions, with hit records, which already consumed some type of substances, or who have had some contact with justice have increased levels of aggressiveness and characteristics associated with psychopathy.
