In the end of 19th century begining of the 20th century Portugal observed the biggest migratory system ever seen! The hunger, the weather conditions of the winter monthes obliged the fishermen of Vieira De Leiria beach litoral center zone of Portugal to move to the south, searching through calm and rich waters of Tejo and Sado, the food dinnied by the sea. The fight for survival made them come back to Vieira in the Spring and Summer the sea will be ready for Food They lived in the river Tejo in the boats built by themselves through the tecnics brought from Vieira beach. The boats were similars to a special one called ´Meia Lua´an elegant boat for ´fishing of trawl-net, in which one they practice Xavega Art a special art of fishing. The main supports of Avieira Culture aere the Palaphitic house, the boat, the Palaphitic piers, the arts of fishing and gastronomy complemented by the Religiosity, language, and the very important contribute of the Avieira woman. Because of these elements are still existing at the Tejo edge waiting for an urgent recuperation, it was for me a must to do this work of search to defend my tese of Mestrado.
