Resumo
Esta abordagem à história das cidades do Porto e Bordéus pretende mostrar a identidade entre elas a partir de um elemento comum ao seu desenvolvimento – o vinho. Pontos de contacto existem desde a Idade Média, pelas ligações comerciais à Inglaterra, mas também pela afirmação no seio de ambas as urbes de uma burguesia enriquecida que deixa marcas na cultura, no diálogo entre as cidades e as respectivas áreas de influência.
This approach to the history of the cities of Porto and Bordeaux intends to show the identity between them from a common element to its development – the wine. Contact points have been around since the middle ages, due to the commercial links to England, but also by the statement, within both large cities, of a rich bourgeoisie that leaves marks on the culture, the dialogue between the cities and their spheres of influence.
