Funções executivas e tomada de decisão em jovens/adolescentes em internamento em centro educativo : rendimento neuropsicológico

A presente investigação teve como finalidade verificar se existiam diferenças significativas ao nível de rendimento neuropsicológico em adolescentes que se encontravam a cumprir medida tutelar educativa em centro educativo e em adolescentes que não se encontravam a cumprir quaisquer medidas tutelares.
Foram avaliados no total vinte e dois jovens do sexo masculino, sendo que onze se encontravam a cumprir medida tutelar educativa em centro educativo e os restantes onze recrutados da população geral.
A avaliação neuropsicológica teve início com um rastreio cognitivo geral. Após este rastreio, foram avaliadas dimensões como: a inteligência geral, a atenção voluntária permanente e o rendimento de trabalho, a velocidade atencional das aptidões percetivas, a organização visuoespacial e a memória visual, a tomada de decisão e por último o funcionamento executivo.
Através da análise dos dados ficou demonstrado que os jovens que se encontravam no centro educativo apresentaram resultados inferiores na avaliação neuropsicológica em comparação com os jovens pertencentes ao grupo da população em geral.
This research aims to study the neuropsychological performance in adolescents who were in an educational center with tutelary measures. Twenty-two young males were evaluated in total, eleven were in educative guardianship extent educational center and the remaining eleven residents were recruited from the general population. Neuropsychological assessment began with a general cognitive screening. After this screening, we evaluated: general intelligence, attention and working performance, attentional speed of perceptual skills, the visuo-spatial organization and visual memory, decision making and ultimately executive functioning. The results demonstrated that adolescents who were in the educational center showed lower results on neuropsychological assessment compared with young adults from the general population group.
