A maquete enquanto modelo de concepção em projecto

Abstract

O desenvolvimento desta dissertação tem como base a maquete enquanto sistema empírico-metodológico na concepção arquitectónica. Tendo como apoio a investigação baseada na prática, procura-se que o aluno realize uma investigação empírica metodologicamente sedimentada nos pressupostos e consequências da produção de maquetes tridimensionais. O projecto debruça-se sobre as relações entre a teoria e a prática, procurando através daquilo que designamos como operadores de concepção estudar aprofundadamente os estudos, e ou tentativas, já realizadas sobre a concepção arquitectónica. A escolha do tema deve-se ao facto da maquete assumir um papel muito importante no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento e prática de projecto, uma vez que é possível obter um modelo sobre o pensar e fazer arquitectura, sendo possível acompanhar a sua evolução, com uma metedologia que não é estática. A produção de maquetes permite ainda uma leitura e estudo sobre a materialização do edifício, bem como revelar os princípios e origens de um caminho, que traduz nos edifícios a linguagem e a especificidade do ponto de vista de um autor. A morfologia é outro factor relevante deste processo, bem como a possibilidade de criar e compreender toda a estrutura do esqueleto do edifício, analisando de um modo tridimensional o espaço e a sua escala humana sobre a relatividade da dimensão.

The development of this dissertation is based in the model as an empiricalmethodological system in the architectural design. Supported by a practice-based research, we seek that the student performs an empirical investigation methodologically sedimented in the assumptions and consequences of the production of three-dimensional models. The project focuses on the relationship between theory and practice, looking through what we call design operators, studying in depth the studies, and or attempts already made regarding the architectural design. The selection of the subject is due to the fact that the model achieved a very important role with regard to the development and design practice, once is possible to obtain a model about thinking and making architecture being able to track its evolution, with a methodology that is not static. The production of models also allows a reading and study about the materialization of the building, besides revealing the principles and origins of a path, which translates in the buildings the language and the specificity of the point of view of an author. The morphology is another important factor in this process, as well as the ability to create and understand the whole structure of the skeleton of the building, analyzing in a three-dimensional the way the space and its human scale about the relativity of the dimension.
