Resumo
A Igreja Católica, através ora do próprio Vaticano, ora por meio de vários movimentos de cunho exclusivista, tende, nos
últimos anos, a uma afirmação de sua fé de forma mais tradicional, no sentido de resgatar teologias, doutrinas e costumes
que a pronunciem com maior vigor diante do campo religioso cada vez mais plural em que o mundo se encontra, e em que a
própria Igreja Católica se encontra, internamente. Este movimento de acentuar doutrinas católicas – às vezes de forma
intransigente ou pouco dialogal – com o mundo moderno representaria um rosto cada vez mais exclusivista do catolicismo
quanto às questões doutrinais, mostrando a Igreja como a única – ou máxima – detentora da verdade religiosa. Este artigo
pretende refletir sobre tal postura recorrendo às ciências sociais e, ao final, perguntando se é algo essencial à identidade
católica algum tipo de exclusivismo.
The Catholic Church, through either the Vatican itself, sometimes through various movements exclusivist nature, tends, in recent years, an affirmation of their faith in a more traditional, to redeem theologies, doctrines and customs that speak out more forcefully against the religious field increasingly plural in which the world finds itself, and that the Catholic Church itself is internally. This movement to emphasize Catholic doctrines - sometimes in tough little or dialogical - with the modern world represent an increasingly exclusivist face of Catholicism as the doctrinal issues, showing the Church as the only - or maximum - holder of religious truth. This article intends to discuss using such a stance to the social sciences and in the end, wondering if it is something essential to the Catholic identity some kind of exclusivity.
