The article presents results of a qualitative research whose central theme is modeling in education and its relations with the creative processes of different professionals. The aim of the research was to investigate the ways in which people express themselves during creative processes, analyzing their relationships and comparing them with the modeling processes in education. The research subjects were 10 professionals from different backgrounds: carnival director, costume designer, sculptor, choreographer, composer, artistic nail designer, architect, dressmaker, researcher of Human Sciences and researcher of Exact Sciences. Data collection was done through narratives produced by the research collaborators, and for the treatment of the information mapping in educational research was used. The analysis yielded four categories, called: intention; projection; creation; and product. The results of the study showed that the creative processes of the different professionals interviewed go through the phases of modeling. As a basis for these results, this research also sought to broaden the modeling theory in education for “learning with modeling”, in order to enable the students of Basic Education to be inspired to research and develop their talents, so that they can contribute to the world in which they live, making them actively involved in their learning processes.
