Resumo
Este artigo é uma reflexão sobre o futuro da educação, um futuro que já se mostra repleto de histórias. A partir da indagação sobre para onde caminha a educação, busca-se trazer os pontos fortes da educação, a partir de linhas de força no passado que delineiam o presente. Uma dessas linhas de força é o racionalismo, que moldou a ciência moderna, trazendo a racionalização para a educação ao subordiná-la à economia. Aprofunda-se sobre o caminho da educação enquanto ciência, o papel da escola e da formação de professores, como outras linhas de força. Reflete-se sobre o papel da criança, do professor e das tecnologias de informação e comunicação presentes na escola. Considera-se que a ecologia e as preocupações ambientais em larga escala propiciam uma maior conscientização contra a mercantilização da educação, tendo em vista que a mercantilização da educação é uma ameaça à escola do futuro, ao impedir que a educação seja compreendida como formação integral do ser humano, atividade cultural e aprendizado para viver juntos. This article is a reflection on the future of education, a future that is already full of stories. From the question about where education goes, we seek to bring the strengths of education, from lines of strength in the past that outline the present. One of these lines of strength is rationalism, which shaped modern science, bringing rationalization to education by subordinating it to the economy. The path of education as science, the role of school and teacher training, as other lines of strength, is also outlined. It reflects on the role of the child, the teacher and the information and communication technologies present in the school. It is considered that ecology and environmental concerns on a large scale provide greater awareness against the commercialization of education, considering that the commodification of education is a threat to the school of the future, by preventing education from being understood as integral formation of the human being, cultural activity and learning to live together.
