Resumo
A intervenção comunitária no desenvolvimento em Portugal tem uma forte sustentação nas políticas de intervenção a nível local, estabelecendo permanentemente uma relação estrutural entre cultura e desenvolvimento.
Neste sentido, os museus locais que, num passado recente, eram encarados como factores menores na política cultural oficial, são hoje reconhecidos pela União Europeia como elementos essenciais dessa mesma política. Aqui, reencontramos os princípios orientadores dos documentos “fundadores” da estrutura teórica da nova museologia como suporte das orientações comunitárias.
Community intervention in the development of Portugal has a strong sustainment in the intervention policies at a local level. They have thus permanently established a structural relationship between culture and development. In this sense local museums, which in a recent past were perceived as smaller factors of influence in the official cultural policy, are today recognized by the European Union as essential elements of that same policy. We reencounter here the guiding principles of the “founding” documents of the theoretical structure of the new museology as a basis for the community guidelines.
