Resumo
A preocupação com as cidades e o seu desenvolvimento tem sido um tema crescente, a importância de promover novas iniciativas que contribuam para a afirmação desta questão tornando a cidade e o seu tecido urbano mais coeso, atractivo, equilibrado e sustentável, surge assim um novo olhar para a cidade e para a requalificação dos seus espaços, dando a arquitectura um papel importante nesta discussão, através do estudo e investigação dos conceitos de espaço urbano, arquitectura urbana, espaços verdes na cidade. Esta dissertação pretende dar um contributo para uma melhor compreensão desta problemática, para tal a compreensão de que a requalificação urbana visa um melhoramento do espaço publico através da melhoria na qualidade de ambiente e de vida nas cidades, em diferente articulação e integração de diversas componentes como a habitação, a cultura, a coesão social e a mobilidade, é um factor decisivo. Em conclusão, esta investigação comporta a elaboração de uma proposta para um espaço urbano devoluto e abandonado, usando a requalificação urbana como estratégia para a resolução das problemáticas associadas ao local.
The concern with cities and their development has been a growing theme, the importance of promoting new initiatives that contribute to the affirmation of this issue making the city and its urban fabric more cohesive, attractive, balanced and sustainable, so a new look arises to the city and to the requalification of its spaces, giving the architecture an important role in this discussion, through the study and research of the concepts of urban space, urban architecture, green spaces in the city, this dissertation aims at contributing to a better understanding of the even to this end, the acknowledgment that the urban requalification aims at improving the public space by enhanching the quality of the environment and living in cities, in different articulation and integration with various components such as housing, culture, social cohesion and mobility . In conclusion to this investigation there will be a proposal for a vacant and abandoned urban space, using the urban requalification as a strategy to solve the problems associated to the place.
