dc.description.abstractA Bateria de Avaliação Frontal também conhecida em Inglês por Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB) é uma prova de avaliação neuropsicológica que avalia os domínios cognitivos e comportamentais relativos ao lobo frontal. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar as qualidades psicométricas da FAB em indivíduos com perturbação de uso de substâncias ilícitas e álcool e população normativa, com recurso à validade convergente, discriminante, bem como analisar a consistência interna e obter os pontos de corte que permitam discriminar défice executivo entre grupos clínicos e grupo normativo. A amostra é constituída por 979 participantes em que 617 são homens e 362 mulheres, com média de idades 38,7, esta encontra-se dividida em quatro grupos, três dos quais clínicos (redução de riscos, tratamento em comunidade e tratamento de síndrome alcoólica) e um grupo normativo. Através da análise dos resultados verificou-se que a FAB se correlaciona significativamente com o WCST, excepto no número de falhas em manter o contexto e correlaciona-se significativamente com a variável pontuação total e dinheiro total da IGT, revelando que os construtos avaliados por estas três provas estão relacionados. Verificou-se também, diferenças entre os grupos nas variáveis do WCST (exceto nº de respostas certas) e na FAB, onde o grupo normativo revelou um melhor desempenho. Relativamente à análise de ROC verificou-se que a FAB discrimina melhor o grupo em redução de riscos vs grupo normativo.pt
dc.description.abstractThe Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB) is a neuropsychological battery that assesses cognitive and behavioral domains of the frontal lobes. The objective of this study is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the FAB in illicit substance-dependence individuals and alcoholic individuals and normative population, through convergent validity and discriminant, as well as to determine the internal consistency and obtain the cutoff scores that allow to discriminate executive dysfunction between clinical and normative groups. This sample consists of 979 participants (M = 38,7 years), in which 617 are male and 362 are female. The sample is divided into four groups, three of them clinical groups (risk reduction, community treatment and alcoholic syndrome treatment) and a normative group. The results show that the FAB is significantly correlated with WCST, except in the number of failures to maintain the context, and it is observed a correlation with the total money of IGT variable, suggesting that the constructs evaluated by these three tests are correlated. Differences between the groups in the WCST variables were also observed (except for the number of the right answers) and in the FAB, where the normative group showed a better performance. Regarding to ROC analysis, the results show that the FAB differentiates better the risk reduction group compared to the normative group.en
