Instituto Inhotim: a experiência de um complexo museológico e suas relações com a arte contemporânea, o meio ambiente e o desenvolvimento humano

Resumo
Trata-se de estudo versando sobre o Instituto Inhotim, museu de arte contemporânea
a céu aberto e Jardim Botânico, localizado em Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, criado a partir da
coleção particular de Bernardo Paz, e que atualmente se configura como uma OSCIP –
Organização da Sociedade Civil de Interesse Público.
O estudo propõe detalhar a criação e trajetória da instituição em seus eixos de
atuação - arte, botânica e meio ambiente, educação e inclusão social – a partir de sua
dinâmica institucional, entre 2002 e 2018. Analisa o processo de musealização que põe em
diálogo a arte e a natureza, e os percursos desenhados no território, bem como sua
interlocução com o entorno, criando perspectivas de desenvolvimento humano. Aborda a
experiência de Inhotim em interação com antecedentes históricos da arte contemporânea e
da Nova Museologia, posicionando-o como um complexo museológico contemporâneo
construído na interrelação entre diversos campos do conhecimento e o Patrimônio Integral.
Nele, se inserem: as contradições dos tempos contemporâneos, preocupações ambientais,
a atenção ao desenvolvimento local, a expansão das coleções, disputas por recursos e a
busca pela experiência estética do belo através do eixo arte-paisagem. Conclui sobre a
potencialidade entrecruzada de estabelecer laços com a Sociomuseologia, partilhar
estratégias e criar processos de gestão vocacionados a cumprir a função social dos museus,
possível em quaisquer cenários, da museologia e tantos outros, assim engajados.
It is a study about the Inhotim Institute, open-air contemporary art museum and Botanical Garden located in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, created from the private collection of Bernardo Paz, that is currently configured as an OSCIP – Civil Society Organization of Public Interest. The study proposes to detail the institution creation and trajectory in its axes of action – art, botany and environment, education, social inclusion – based on its institutional dynamics, between 2002 and 2018. It analyzes the process of musealization that puts in dialogue art and nature, and the paths designed over the territory, as well as its interlocution with surroundings, creating perspectives of human development. It addresses the experience of Inhotim in interaction with historical antecedents of contemporary art and New Museology, positioning it as a contemporary museological complex built in the interrelations between several fields of knowledge and the Integral Heritage. In it, meets together: the contradictions of contemporary times, environmental concerns, attention to the local development, the expansion of collections, disputes over resources and the search for the aesthetic experience of the beautiful through the art-landscape axis. The study concludes on the cross-linked potential of establishing links with the Sociomuseology, share strategies and create management processes aimed at fulfilling the social role of the museums, possible in any scenario, museological and many others, thus engaged.
