As hipóteses estabelecidas foram corroboradas, visto que a magnitude de associação entre psicopatologia e a fusão cognitiva foi superior para a fusão cognitiva geral. dc.description.abstractCognitive fusion has been shown to be related to psychopathological symptomatology in women with chronic pain. The present study aimed to analyze (1) the relationship between cognitive fusion content and psychopathological symptomatology in women with chronic pain; (2) the difference between the levels of psychopathological symptomatology and the two fusion contents (pain-focused and non-pain-focused). The sample will be composed of approximately 210 women diagnosed with chronic pain and over 18 years of age. The sample collection will be carried out by completing the following questionnaires: Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (CFQ), Psychological Inflexibility in Pain Scale (PIPS), and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21). Depression was found to be more related to general cognitive fusion than to pain-focused cognitive fusion, such as stress and anxiety. The established hypotheses were corroborated, as the magnitude of association between psychopathology and cognitive fusion was higher for general cognitive fusion. Keywords: Chronic pain; Cognitive Fusion; Psychopathological Symptomatologyen
