Resumo
Trabalho de Projecto para Mestrado em Estudos Cinematográficos de que resultou um
Guião Cinematográfico denominado Feliz Aniversário. Uma história de amor entre
duas personagens que termina em virtude dos acontecimentos políticos em Portugal
decorria o ano de 1975 durante o período que ficou denominado como “Verão Quente
de 75.”
A relação entre Cinema e História apresentando o cinema como uma fonte histórica
que embora só recentemente seja assim considerado como tal, cada vez mais se
afirma nesse sentido e a análise de alguns filmes de ficção criados sobre um fundo de
história como o Couraçado de Potemkine e O Nascimento de uma Nação.
Feliz Aniversário teve como base o estudo da imprensa regional e nacional da época,
as comunicações telegráficas no seio da diplomacia norte-americana, a história
familiar do seu autor e uma pesquisa bibliográfica relacionada com o tema. Surge
como um contributo para a análise do período histórico que lhe serve de pano de
fundo e aumenta o acervo cinematográfico português no que ao tema em destaque
concerne.
Project work for the Master in Cinematographic Studies from witch resulted the script: Feliz Aniversário. A love story between two characters that ends due to the political events in Portugal during the period that was called “Verão Quente of 75.” The relationship between film and history showing the film as a historical source that although only recently is considered as such, more and more states it’s importance in that sense, and the analysis of fiction films created on a background of history as the Battleship of Potemkin and The Birth of a Nation. Feliz Aniversário was based on the study of the regional and national press at the time, telegraph communications within the American diplomacy, the family history of it’s author and a bibliographical research related to the theme. Emerges as a contribution to the analysis of the historical period that forms it’s background and increases the Portuguese film collection in the featured topic concerns.
