Resumo
O presente estudo insere-se no campo de pesquisa relativo à Arquitetura Sustentável. As necessidades energéticas, bem como de que os materiais existentes não são infindáveis, a descoberta científica desta premissa que se traduz na pegada ecológica, contribuiu para a tomada de consciência desta realidade e para que todos, independentemente da atividade a que nos dedicamos, utilizemos os recursos existentes de forma racional e razoável. A sustentabilidade é um conceito que tem vindo a ser amplamente utilizado, e o campo arquitetura não lhe constitui exceção.
A arquitetura sustentável implica o conhecimento da realidade do território onde se vai desenvolver o projeto de arquitetura, e nesse sentido, importa conhecer a história, a política, a economia e a demografia do país, para construir de forma sustentável e rentabilizar os recursos energéticos e materiais existentes. A Guiné-Bissau é composta por uma grande diversidade étnica e essa realidade adequa-se ao clima tropical e enquadra-se nos quatro tipos arquitetónicos presentes e contemplados por este estudo, no entanto, o novo paradigma da arquitetura sustentável determina o repensar da forma de projetar, de construir e dos materiais a utilizar.
A ideia de projetar uma escola em Canchungo, na Guiné-Bissau surge da necessidade de dotar este país de uma infraestrutura escolar bem como a envolvente habitacional fazendo uso destes conceitos.
The present study is part of the research field related to Sustainable Architecture. Energy needs, as well as existing materials are not endless. The scientific discovery of this premise that translates itself into the ecological footprint has contributed to the awareness of this reality and so that everyone, regardless of the activity to which we are dedicated, should use the existing resources in a rational way and Sustainability is a concept that has been widely used the feld of architecture is of no exception. The sustainable architecture implies knowledge of the reality of the land where the architectural project will be developed, and in this sense it is important to know the history, politics, economy and demography of the country, to construct under a sustainable way and to monetize existing energy and material resources. Guinea-Bissau is composed of a great ethnic diversity and this reality is encompasses to the tropical climate, as well as to the four existing architectural types, however the new paradigm of the sustainable architecture determines the rethinking the decision of how to design, how to build and what materials to use. The idea of designing a school in Canchungo, Guinea-Bissau arises from the need to provide this country with a school infrastructure as well as the housing environment underneath these concepts.
