Resumo
O Planeta tem sofrido com as consequências provocadas pelas acções do ser humano e actualmente as preocupações ecológicas são uma inquietação para todos. Existe a necessidade de se manter o meio ambiente saudável e tentar reverter os impactos ambientais, tornando claro, que a arquitectura tem um papel fundamental. É indispensável a prática de uma boa arquitectura, mas uma arquitectura que seja verde e que pense essencialmente no Homem e no meio ambiente como principal prioridade.
Esta investigação procurou entender e perceber a evolução da sustentabilidade ao longo dos tempos, o que foi feito e acima de tudo em que estado a arquitectura se encontra no que refere ao conceito ecológico, o estados das cidades, as novas e as antigas, o que se poderá fazer para as tornar mais ecológicas, delineando assim, qual será o melhor caminho para um futuro mais saudável.
The Earth has suffered the consequences caused by human activity and ecological matters are now a concern for all. There is a need to keep the environment healthy and try to reverse the environmental impacts, making it clear that the architecture has a fundamental role to perform. It is essential the practice of good architecture, but an architecture that must be green towards to human beings and the environment as top priorities. This research sought to understand and analyse the evolution of sustainability along the time, what was done and most of all what is the state of the architecture in terms of ecological concept, the situation of the cities, new and old ones, what can be done to make them greener, outlining so, what is the best way to a healthier future.
