Turismo sénior : perfis e práticas

Abstract

O presente artigo centra-se na análise dos perfis e das práticas turísticas dos seniores, nas tendências de evolução do universo e dos seus comportamentos, nomeadamente na Europa ocidental, no reconhecimento do direito a férias e com ele, da importância das políticas de turismo social, dirigidas nomeadamente aos seniores. Aborda igualmente os destinos procurados pelos seniores e os significados das suas presenças, com destaque para a sustentabilidade dos lugares, atendendo à sua menor sazonalidade. Revela também o reconhecimento da actividade no quadro da UE, ao estreitar e aprofundar as relações entre povos do norte e do sul e ao afirmar a coesão europeia, na base do conhecimento mútuo, suportado em vivências comuns, nos tempos de trabalho e nos de lazer e férias, das elites, das classes trabalhadoras e também dos seniores pós – activos.

This article focuses on the analysis of tourist profiles and practices of senior citizens, on the evolution tendencies of the universe and respective behaviours, namely in the western Europe, on the acknowledgemt of the right to have holidays and the importance of social tourism politics aimed at senior citizens. The article also approaches the destinations sought by the senior citizens and the meaning of their presence, highlighting the places, sustainability taking into account their less seasonality. The next also reveals the recognition of the activity withing the UE framework since it approaches and deepens the relationships between the peoples from the north and the south and asserts European cohesion. This cohesion results from the mutual knowledge based on common experiences, work, and leisure times and holidays, the elites, the working classes and also the post – active seniors.
