Resumo
Literatura e jornalismo é igualmente o tema
focado no ensaio intitulado. Através de um
longo percurso histórico por diversos géneros
jornalísticos e literários, Sòria considera que a
«idade de ouro» do jornalismo literário se situa
no século XX, «especialmente no período que vai
desde a belle époque até à Segunda Guerra
Mundial». De entre vários nomes consagrados
da literatura que colaboraram nos jornais,
salienta nomes como os de Unamuno, Gide,
Borges ou Pavese.
This essay is centred on the intertwining of literature and journalism. Tracing the historical trajectory of diverse journalistic and literary genres, the author considers that the «golden age» of literary journalism situates itself in the twentieth century, «particularly the period ranging from the belle époque to World War II». He exemplifies the links between literature and journalism by focussing on various acclaimed writers, such as Unamuno, Gide, Borges and Pavese, who regularly contributed to newspa - pers.
