Resumo
Este artigo trata dos fenómenos per -
ceptuais e explora as relações entre a
percepção visual e variáveis de design de
espaço. As nossas percepções de significado na
envolvente encontram-se estreitamente ligadas
aos mecanismos do cérebro: o cérebro elabora
percepções e o sistema visual perscruta o meio
relações mutantes no campo visual, as
constâncias são também consideradas, uma vez
que eliminam a necessidade de avaliação e
tomada de decisão constantes, e permitem aos
indíviduos operar com segurança e confiança a
partir da estabilidade das coisas.
This paper focuses on perceptual phenomena and explores the relations between visual perception and space design variables. Our perception of meaning in the environment is closely linked to the mechanisms of the brain: the brain constructs perceptions and the visual system scans the environment looking for clarity and actively seeking stimulation. Aspects that concern how the human brain organizes visual perceptions and the way the perceptual context in which the stimulus is embedded are clarified, as well as spatial relationships developed with the surroundings that depend upon gradients of pattern that determine the complexity of visual perception. This paper also deals with major cues that our brains use to convert the two-dimensional retinal images into information about threedimensional relationships. Furthermore, because the perception of physical space is produced by a continuous succession of changing relationships in the visual field, constancies are also considered as they eliminate the need for constant evaluation and decision-making, and allow people to operate with security and confidence about the stability of things.
