Resumo
A receção da obra didática de Comenius em França foi marcada pelas leituras feitas no século XIX. Essas leituras, de acordo com as atuais mudanças, levaram a uma transformação das ideias deComenius que, descontextualizadas,puderam ser mobilizadas em prol da pedagogia francesa. As ideias do pedagogo checo serviram para validar a pedagogia daTerceira República, considerada como o último grau do progresso realizado em matéria de ensino. Isso reflete o desejo de colocar a reforma da educação francesa do final do século XIX, num movimento de base mais antigo, enraizado no passado, para a legitimar.
The reception of the didactic work of Comenius in France was marked by the readings performed in the XIXth century. Therefore these readings drew away a transformation of Comenius’ ideas that, out of their context, could be mobilised in favour of French pedagogy. The ideas of the Czech teacher were used to approve the pedagogy of the IIIth Republic, considered as the last degree of progress accomplished regarding education. This phenomenon shows the willto inscribe the reform of late XIXth century’s French education, in a more ancient movement, anchored in the past, in order to justify it.
