Neste trabalho foram estudadas as relações entre a confiança e o ciúme e a satisfação na relação e intensidade do sentimento amoroso, numa amostra de 247 indivíduos de ambos os sexos, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 53 anos (M = 27.94; DP = 8.51), sendo 184 (74.5%) e 63 (25.5%) do sexo masculino. Como instrumentos foram utilizados um questionário de dados sociodemográficos, a Trust Scale in Close Relationships (TSCR - Rempel, Holmes & Zanna, 1985), a Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS - Pfeiffer & Wong, 1989), a Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS – Hendrick, 1988) e a Passionate Love Scale, (PLS - Hatfield & Sprecher, 1986). Os resultados evidenciaram relações positivas e significativas entre a satisfação na relação e intensidade do sentimento amoroso com todas as dimensões da confiança e com o ciúme emocional, e negativas com o ciúme cognitivo. Os resultados são discutidos e são apresentadas sugestões para futuros trabalhos.
This paper studied the relationship between trust and jealousy with relationship satisfaction and passionate love in a sample of 247 men and women, aged between 18 and 53 years (M = 27.94, SD = 8:51), 184 (74.5%) being female and 63 (25.5%) male.
